God Delights in Each of Us

Lesson One

To Be a Handmaid of the Lord

God Delights in Each of Us

Where do I fit?
Why am I here?
I believe in God, but does He even know what I am going through? He is far away, unreachable. I feel alone and useless.
Have you ever felt that way? Are you feeling that way now? No matter how old we are or what our lifestyle, most of us have times when we feel as though we are not doing everything right, we are uncertain of how to be of use to anyone. We feel small, helpless, and ALONE – as the world goes on around us.
I want to tell you – there is comfort!  There is an answer to these things. GOD, the Almighty Creator, the eternal Heavenly Father of us all absolutely KNOWS about YOU!
God told His nation of Israel, even as He is punishing them for their sins, “I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore I have drawn you with lovingkindness” (Jer. 31:3). In Matthew 10:29-31 Jesus says, “Are not two sparrows sold for a cent? And yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So do not fear; you are more valuable than many sparrows.”  Do you know how many hairs are on your own head? On the head of your child? Unless there is NO hair at all, counting them is an impossibility – but as Luke 1:37 says, nothing is impossible for God. He knows YOU that well. This is personal for Him. He created this world for YOU. He sent His Son to give YOU hope of salvation.

Psalm 37:23 says, “The steps of a man are established by the Lord, and He delights in his way.” Each step you take is known by God and He delights in those follow in His way. To learn more about precious you are, how much joy He takes in you, and the lengths to which He has gone for you, download and study this lesson today. Feel free to share it with others.

  1. Romans 1 always encourages me to be thankful to my creator. When I behold the beauties of the earth, I know I am just one small part of everything! I owe my existence to Him.

    Romans 1:18-25

    18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;

19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.

20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.

24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:

25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

  2. Psalms 100

1 Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands.

2 Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing.

3 Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.

5 For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.
