Lessons from Rebekah, Rachel, and Leah; Jochebed and Miriam
Rebekah – a man shows up at her door looking for a wife for his master. She’s prepared to be a wife since she was a little girl.
Rebekah readily accepts the invitation. This study explores Rebekah from single woman to wife and mother.
Rachel and Leah – Rachel had Jacob’s love and he worked for her. Leah was forced upon Jacob by her father and never had his love. Both women brought the children into the world who would become the nation of Israel God had planned all along. Study these women, their relationship as sisters, and their relationship with Jacob.
Jochebed – mother of Moses. Very little is said of her, but what is said is powerful!
Miriam – sister of Moses. Chosen to be a prophetess and leader for the people of Israel. She led the people in praise when they crossed the river, but then held jealousy over Moses’ interaction with God.
