Are there days when The Proverbs 31 Woman seems out of your reach?

My name is Angela Legg and I know what it is like to be overwhelmed, full of guilt and doubt because you just cannot measure up.

You are carrying so many burdens and you are tired.

You keep doing all the things - laundry, cleaning, running errands, cooking meals, going to the store - and yet it never seems done. You're longing to breathe. You want to spend time with your Bible and in prayer, but where is the time?

It is time to let go.

Let go of the doubts-

*about what kind of a wife you are

*about the mother you are to your children

*about the Christian you are being.

Because, my friend, you are doing great.

You got up today and did what was yours to do. That is huge!

Let go of the guilt-

*about not having a better routine for daily Bible reading or prayer

*for not being like that mom "over there"

*for not being perfect.

I have a secret to tell you.

Perfection is what God creates in you...

It's not something you need to worry about.

I believe that you are already the Proverbs 31 woman.
A woman "who fears the Lord" is the one who gets up every day to care for what is hers.

You need care, too, in order to keep doing what you do. You need confidence that what you are doing is valuable and right. And my friend, you will find that in God's word.

I believe that if you let go of the doubt and guilt that is holding you back from stepping out and trying again you will find the confidence knowing that God sees what you do as valuable and beautiful

You can make time for family, work, brethren, and daily time with God in study and prayer. You can live every day with intention and purpose, strong with the armor of God's word all around you.

I KNOW, THAT SOUNDS GREAT - BUT HOW?

By Being intentional.

The Diligent Woman is where you can find resources, tools and encouragement to help you create a schedule you can live with joy.

We are not about seeking perfection, but making progress.

Diligence is doing what you can today with intention.

And I am here to guide you and support you through it.

Join me as we grow together in a confident daily walk with God.

MY NAME IS...
Angela Legg

After many years of marriage, motherhood, and being a Christian...

I've learned that my identity is found in none of those things. God created me to be bring glory to Him before I was all of those things.

Becoming a Christian, I stepped into the relationship that perfects me - through His power and work.
Confidence in the roles I play in this life has been found by first seeing what God sees in me.

That confidence is something you can have, and I'm honored to share with you the path to find it.

Here are some easy places to begin

Be transformed by the renewing of your mind

My friend, what makes the difference is who you listen to.
God says a woman who fears the Lord looks after the needs of her family - physically, spiritually, emotionally.
Satan says "that's too much" or "that's too hard".

God says "keep your eye on Me".

Satan says "Look at how that mom is with her kids"

"Wow, look at her Facebook page. She is really engaged with her community"

"The news today is full of chaos and scary stuff"

"What a shame, your recipe doesn't look at all like the picture on Pinterest", and

"Look at all those study groups women are in - my schedule is already full of the things I'm supposed to do, where do I find the time?"

Deuteronomy 17:18-20 gives one prescription for staying focused on God while doing the day to day work of life.

  • Write God's word out by hand
  • Read it every day

You are in the right place to find guidance, support, and community as you become transformed!
